There are many yeast for making wine. Yeast don't just turn sugar to alcohol, they also add other characteristics to your finished wine and can affect the flavour, feel and aroma of the finished wine.
Depending on the style of wine you are making, choosing the best yeast for making wine will mean your wine will have the flavours you want.
Using a process call biotransformation, yeast east sugars, flavour esters and other compounds in your grape juice and, as they digest them, they turn them into new compounds causing your wine to taste very different to the original grape juice.
Yeast can add flavours to your finished wine. Choosing the right wine yeast for the style of wine you are making is important as the yeast add flavours. Using a yeast for red wine can add a spicy punch, and earthiness and even add to the jammy fruity flavours, perhaps not something you want in a chardonnay. Where as a yeast for white wine may add an acidity and a tropical fruit flavour to the finished wine.
Yeast can also affect the mout feel of a finished wine, with different yeast strains affecting the dryness, the acidity and body of a wine.
Not long ago, there were only a few strains of wine yeast available. We now have a large range of wine yeast for you to use to compliment the style of wine you are making.
So, when making your next wine, think about the yeast you are going to use and choose a wine yeast to compliment the wine you are brewing.

We have purchased this wine kit numerous times. We have always had a good quality pack of wine. Presented chilled this wine is as good as any shop wine.
Always ready to drink within a couple of weeks .

Quite simply add this .
You will have the fermenter foaming all over the floor and walls but you will have the real quality that you want .
Made fruit wines of all types for years and on some as a hobby , had a go last year base level wine kit and so so ,a bit sweet ok if you only want to get well oiled . But this added to a kit is wow for a nearly sixty year old wine drinker just try adding half the bottle to your next 30 bottle kit you will never go back.

Very good works a treat.makes the wine look professional and attractive to the coinesseur.

I made my first ever wine, blackberry wine using this bag after following David on his Youtube video, great product, less mess and easy to use. Thank you David for your help and support with my order.

Easy kit to brew. Pleasant, very refreshing apple flavour ideal for lazy summer days in the sun. Very impressed and intend to try others in this range.👍

Just tried it for the first time after almost 3 months since bottling. My first red wine kit and I was surprised how good it was. Medium+ body, red fruits with peppery hints and smoother than you’d expect from a very young red wine.
Had dinner with sis and hubby. I’d used screw cap bottles without removing labels, the one I bought to the meal was in a Waitrose Good Ordinary Claret bottle. Bro-in-law was impressed, said he’d have to buy some, then I told him I’d made it from a kit.
No doubt it’ll improve with a bit more ageing but it’s very nice already.

This has got to be one of my favourite wines to make. The flavour is lovely and refreshing. Would highly recommend

I've ordered wine kits on several occasions. The price is good and the order has always arrived in a timely fashion. I'll definitely be ordering again. Thanks Brewbitz.

Easy to follow instructions. Ready to drink in just over a week. Longer its left the better the taste.

I've been making this wine for many years and have found it to be reliable, straightforward and eminently drinkable! I thoroughly recommend it!

Love to use this for sterilisation and you can use it a few times so really lasts

Easy to brew and a flavour that suits my palate. A regular for me.

I enjoy stouts and this one is a particular favorite. Full of flavour and better than anything I've been served in a pub. And it's easy to make.

This was my first attempt with a Solomon Grundy Kit and I opted for the platinum version because no additional sugar is required. I used a temperature controlled heat pad and from start to decanting the clear wine has taken 8 days. I could have done it in 7 days but I spent the extra day degassing the wine prior to adding finings. It has cleared very well and tastes really good. I intend to polish it over the next day or so before storing fot at least a month. Given the ease of brewing and the end result thus far, I'll be starting another SG kit is the near future.

Eventually started this one and it went off like a rocket initially. Took a reading yesterday and it was a bit off the recommended fg but will give it another week and check it.Smells amazing though.🤞🏻
